Preload

Preload starts tonight. The dates do not agree.
The Steam news post dated October 26, 2026 says preload begins October 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT. The same post says the journey begins October 28, 2026, at 7:00 PM PDT. The store purchase row still says Coming October 29, 2026. Keep all three. Do not merge them.

Coming Oct 29, 2026What the post told PC players to do
- Install on an SSD.
- The game is approximately 145 GB. Reserve at least 300 GB for the preload process.
- Update graphics drivers before that download.
145 GB is the size in the post, not a day-one patch size. 300 GB is free space for the process, not a second install size. A forum number that is neither of those is still a leak.
The hardware table is now on the store page
Minimum on the October 26 US listing: Windows 10/11, Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB, DirectX 12. The note says 1080p / 30 FPS with upscaling, and SSD installation required.
Recommended: Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB RAM, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB. The note says 1440p / 60 FPS with upscaling, SSD required. Steam Deck compatibility on that page was Unknown.
Price is not the preload
Standard pre-purchase was $59.99. Digital Deluxe was $69.99. No discount was on the US package row. Preload does not change the edition. The public site date remains October 29, 2026. Read the news post before you set a clock: Ready your blade, Steam News .
Requirements in table form stay on system requirements. The size caveat stays on file size. The date argument stays on release date.
